How to Find Legitimate Sweepstakes

Legitimate sweepstakes make their sponsor, rules, eligibility, and deadline easy to inspect. Use this checklist to slow down and verify the details that matter.

Start with the source

Look for a promotion page hosted by the sponsor or a clearly identified administrator. A trustworthy listing should link to that original source rather than asking you to rely on a screenshot or a shortened link.

Read the official rules

Rules should explain who can enter, when the promotion closes, what the prize includes, and how winners are selected. If those facts are missing, treat the promotion as incomplete rather than filling in the gaps yourself.

Check the entry request

Be cautious when a promotion asks for payment, account credentials, or sensitive information just to enter. SweepPrize listings are intended to help you inspect the official entry path; the official rules remain authoritative.

The source-first standard

For a real promotion, compare every listing detail with the sponsor’s official rules before entering.
