Privacy Policy

SweepPrize respects your privacy and explains here what information we collect, why we use it, and the choices available to you.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the SweepPrize website, including its sweepstakes directory, guides, contact flows, and prize-alert newsletter (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described below.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you choose to provide, information generated when you use the Service, and information available from public promotion sources.

• Newsletter information: email address, optional state, prize interests, and subscription preferences when you request prize alerts.
• Contact information: the information you include when you contact us, such as your name, email address, and message.
• Signup and device context: referral URL, landing page, campaign tags, browser language, time zone, screen and viewport size, device and browser information, and user-agent information submitted by or available from your browser.
• Approximate location and abuse-prevention data: country, region, city, postal code, time zone, and a salted hash of an IP address. We use the hash for rate limiting and abuse prevention; we do not intentionally store the raw IP address in the newsletter record.
• Public promotion information: sponsor names, promotion details, dates, eligibility, and links collected from official rules and other public sources.

3. How we use information

• Send the prize alerts you request and tailor them to your selected interests or state.
• Respond to questions, corrections, and other messages.
• Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
• Detect spam, fraud, automated abuse, and excessive signup activity.
• Understand which pages and campaigns bring visitors to the Service.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.

4. Email choices

You can unsubscribe from prize alerts at any time using the link in an email or by contacting hello@sweepprize.com. We may still send a non-promotional message when reasonably necessary to respond to you or manage your request.

5. How we share information

We do not sell or rent your email address. We may share information with service providers that help us host the Service, store data, send email, prevent abuse, or provide technical support. Those providers may process information only to perform services for us. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the Service or someone’s safety, or as part of a business transfer.

SweepPrize is a directory and is not the sponsor of the promotions it lists. We do not provide your newsletter email address to a sponsor merely because you click through to that sponsor’s website. A sponsor’s own privacy policy applies when you leave the Service.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

The Service may use essential technologies needed to operate pages, forms, security, and preferences. Links to sponsors or other websites may use technologies controlled by those third parties. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies on the Service.

7. Retention and security

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including sending requested alerts, keeping suppression records, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, and meeting legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us at hello@sweepprize.com.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, or to withdraw consent or object to certain processing. You can make a request at hello@sweepprize.com. We may need to verify your request, and applicable law may limit these rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

California residents may have additional rights under California privacy law, including rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. SweepPrize does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising based on the practices described in this policy.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service changes or legal requirements develop. The effective date above will show when it was last updated. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to make it more noticeable.
